Access to Healthcare and Services

The service for asylum seekers allows individuals and families who have applied for asylum in Canada to receive healthcare and services tailored to their needs upon their arrival in the Capitale-Nationale region.

Clientele

Any individual or family of asylum seekers newly arrived or already settled in the Capitale-Nationale region.

Offered Care and Services

  • Assessment of physical health;
  • Psychosocial and well-being assessment;
  • Brief interventions to stabilize health and well-being;
  • Referral to appropriate care and services, according to needs:
    • Within the territorial service network (RTS);
    • Near the residence, within the local service network (RLS).
