Palliative care at Jeffery Hale
At Jeffery Hale, we are committed to providing high-quality palliative and end-of-life care. Our palliative care beds are available for people aged 18 and over in the Capitale-Nationale region who have a terminal disease and who need the expertise and ongoing support of a palliative care team for their physical, psychological, emotional, or spiritual symptoms. We also have a family unit that allows loved ones to stay close by at all times.

Our palliative care team includes:
- Management and liaison team
- Medical team
- Care team (nurses, nursing assistants, and orderlies)
- Psychosocial and spiritual team
- Nutrition team
- Pharmacy team
Referrals
Clients must be referred to palliative care by a healthcare professional such as a doctor or social worker.
Capacity
We have a unit of 15 beds reserved for palliative care patients.
Cost
You must have a valid health insurance card. The rates for private and semi-private rooms in hospitals are set under the Hospital Insurance Act. For more information, visit the Services Québec website.
Hours
Patients admitted to the palliative care unit at Jeffery Hale receive care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Location
The Jeffery Hale palliative care beds are located in the main building at 1250 chemin Sainte-Foy, in the Community Geriatric Unit on the 3rd floor.
The family unit is on the 2nd floor.
