Psychosocial and mental health services
Jeffery Hale Community Services in English offers a range of services to help you and your family cope in the face of adversity. Our team of social workers, specialized educators, and psychologists offers various professional services for people whose mental health is compromised or who are experiencing temporary or long-term adjustment difficulties.
General psychosocial services and counselling
Our team of social workers is here to support you every step of the way. Through workshops or one-on-one consultations, we’ll help you build coping skills, recognize your strengths, and work on areas where you want to grow.
Advocacy
Need help applying for employment or social assistance? Having a dispute with your landlord or someone else? We can guide you toward the right resources and services to help resolve your situation.
Information and Referrals
We’ll help you connect with the English-speaking professionals you need such as doctors, dentists, lawyers, or psychologists, so you can get the right care and support for your situation.
Please note that, unlike a typical CLSC, Jeffery Hale – English Community Services does not have a doctor on staff. If you’re looking for a family doctor, learn how to find one here.
Psychological services
You don’t have to go through this alone. Reaching out is the first step toward feeling better.
If you’re struggling with your mental health and want to better understand what you’re going through, we’re here to help.
Our English-language community services provide front-line psychological support. When needed, our bilingual integrated access team will assess your situation and refer you to an English-speaking psychologist for follow-up care.
Our services focus on your recovery, helping you regain balance and well-being. When your situation allows, we also work with you to prevent relapse or hospitalization and support your long-term stability.
Variable support
This service, provided by a specialized educator, includes assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and social integration activities for people with severe mental disorders.
It is intended for adults with personal, social, and relational disabilities who require ongoing support with a view to recovery and rehabilitation.
