The environment in which the population of Quebec lives contains toxic substances such as some plants, chemicals, medication or drugs. Acute poisoning, whether intentional or non intentional, is a very common health issue that can affect all age groups.

Seeking rapid appropriate medical attention helps to prevent complications related to poisoning, hence the importance of having access to specialists in poison information in these emergency situations. The Centre antipoison du Québec is an emergency telephone line (1-800-463-5060) that operates 24/7 to answer calls from the public as well as from health care professionals seeking specialized advice.

Through this survey, we would like to collect information on the perception of the population of Québec on the Centre antipoison du Québec, in order to identify their needs and to further determine potential areas of improvement.

The estimated required time to answer the related questions is approximately 5 minutes.
