Visitors Access Control

In accordance with government decree number 1276-2021 adopted by the Quebec government on September 24, 2021, beginning October 15 2021, all persons 13 years of age and older must be adequately protected to visit:

  • In the facilities of the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) de la Capitale-Nationale;
  • In those of the organizations under agreement with the institution according to section 108 of the Act respecting health services and social services (LSSS).

Visitor verification

Visitors and accompanying parties are required to present the vaccination passport (QR code in electronic or printed format) as well as a photo ID.


Persons who are not adequately protected are permitted to visit the listed locations only in the following situations:

  • The person accesses one of these locations to receive health or social services.
  • The person is accompanying:
    • A child under 14 years of age who is accessing these premises to receive health or social services;
    • A person who is giving birth;
    • A person who is incapable of consenting to the care required by his or her medical condition;
    • A person who, because of his or her health condition or for safety purposes, requires assistance that cannot be provided by the operator of the premises;
  • Caregivers in CHSLDs, RIs for seniors and private seniors’ home (RPAs)
  • The person is visiting a loved one in end of life care;
  • During the visit of the parent or guardian of a child living in a rehabilitation center for young people with adjustment difficulties, as well as any person having visiting rights as ordered by a decision of the Court of Quebec.
